Early Years Statement for qualifications achieved outside of the UK
Skip contentsDocuments you will need
During the application process, you must upload:
- final certificate(s) and transcript(s) for your early years qualification
- certified translations of your documents, if your documents are not in English
- proof of identity (for example, your passport or driving license)
- evidence of name changes, if your current name is different from the one on your qualifications (for example, a marriage certificate or change of name deed (opens in a new tab))
- excerpts from your course content for modules relating to early years
- a self-certification form completed by your training provider
We also recommend that you provide the final certificate(s) and full transcript(s) for your school level awards to assess them against DfE‘s literacy and numeracy requirements.
Self-certification form
The self-certification form is used to compare your qualification against the DfE’s requirements for early years educators and early years practitioners.
The form should be filled out, stamped and signed by your training provider. This should be done before applying for an Early Years Statement.
Download the level 3 early years educator self-certification form (docx, opens in a new window).
Email our early years team on [email protected] if you want to assess your qualification against the level 2 early years practitioner criteria. We will send you the form which needs to be completed by your training provider.
How to upload documents
Upload clear colour photographs of your documents in JPEG, PDF or bitmap format.
The maximum size for each upload is 10 MB. You can do more than one upload.
Make sure all 4 corners of each document are visible and placed on a flat surface. We may ask for more photographs if the documents do not meet our requirements.
When we have received all the necessary documents, we will complete the service within 20 working days.
