UK Qualification Reference Statement
Skip contentsOverview
A UK Qualification Reference Statement is a certificate that shows detailed information about qualifications awarded by a UK institution. You can use it when applying for jobs or studies overseas.
If you have an uncommon UK qualification, you can use the Statement to give more information about this when you apply for jobs or studies in the UK. Show the Statement with your original UK qualifications.
Make sure you have read all the information about the UK Qualification Reference Statement and checked that this service is right for you before you apply.
If you have a qualification from a professional body
You cannot use a UK Qualification Reference Statement for qualifications awarded by a UK professional body, for example ACCA and CIMA. Use the Statement of Comparability service for these qualifications.
What you will get
You can use this service for up to 4 UK qualifications.
The information given in the statement depends on the qualification being checked.
Your Statement will have a unique 10-digit reference number. Your Statement may also include information about:
- entry requirements
- length of the course
- how the course is assessed
- typical progression routes following the qualification
- comparison of the qualification to UK education systems and status of the awarding body
- professional rights that come with the qualification
