Mutual Recognition Agreements

As the designated national agency for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills, UK ENIC leads the technical negotiations and the drafting of treaty texts in mutual recognition agreements (MRAs) between the UK and other countries.

Recently we have assisted mutual recognition agreements between the UK and Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

These agreements can pave the way for broader country-to-country co-operation and trade deals. These recognition agreements also give assurances to both students and higher education institutions, encouraging student mobility and facilitating transnational education partnerships.
